An ideal day in your Malibu consists of: Wakeboarding, good conversations with my friends, wakesurfing and maybe some shoe skiing to finish the day off!
Plans for 2014: Put together the best video section I can for Sean Kilgus’ video, PRIME.
Fun fact that most people do not know about you: I love gardening.
Tell us about Sets In Motion: This project developed from my idea of wanting to make a women’s wakeboard movie. After talking to all the girls and brainstorming, then finding out what was possible and how we could make it happen, the series of ten webisodes developed. Then we made a 20-minute feature to finish the project. It showcases the best of women’s wakeboarding right now and motivates girls all over the world to progress their riding or take up wakeboarding.
How is the wakeboarding scene in Australia these days? It is thriving. There are so many young kids coming up in the sport who rip. They are 10 or 11 years old and already blowing minds. There are people of all ages getting into the wakeboarding lifestyle while working full time jobs. There are many happy days on the river and plenty of stoke all around.
How does it feel to carry on the legacy of the Wing name? It still blows my mind on a regular basis, how well known my family is in watersports. I never saw myself doing what I am doing today. I love it. I love that people appreciate my achievements and that I encourage them to get out on the water in their boats.
